In Berlin, another 194 infections with the Corona virus have been detected. This brings the total number of cases to 149,231, as reported by the Senate Health Administration in its situation report on 05 April 2021. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 3086 people have died in Berlin in connection with the coronavirus. 136,605 people are now considered to have recovered. The Berlin Corona traffic light continues to show red for incidence. The so-called R-value is still in the green zone at 1.0. The R-value indicates how many people an infected person infects on average. 21.2 percent of intensive care beds are occupied by Covid 19 patients. The Berlin traffic light continues to show yellow at this increasing value.
The Robert Koch Institute pointed out that usually fewer tests are made and reported on Easter holidays. In addition, it could be that not all health offices and competent state authorities transmit to the RKI on all days.
