In Berlin, another 309 Corona virus infections have been detected. The previous day, there were 778, bringing the total number of cases to 149,037, as the Senate Health Administration reported in its situation report on Sunday. Within one week, 129.1 infections per 100,000 inhabitants were registered as a seven-day incidence.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 3086 people have died in Berlin in connection with the coronavirus, adding four deaths. 135,961 people are now considered to have recovered.
The Berlin Corona traffic light continues to show red for incidence. In terms of the so-called R-value, it is still just in the green zone at 0.96 (0.92). The R-value indicates how many people an infected person infects on average. 20.6 (20) percent of intensive care beds are occupied by Covid 19 patients. The Berlin traffic light continues to show yellow at this increasing value.
The Robert Koch Institute pointed out that usually fewer tests are made and reported on Easter holidays. In addition, it could be that not all health offices and competent state authorities transmit to the RKI on all days.
