The incidence of corona continues to rise in Berlin. On Monday (29 March 2021), the number of infected people per 100,000 inhabitants in the past seven days was 146.4, according to the health administration's situation report. The number of infected persons has risen by 575 to 144,586 cases since the beginning of the pandemic.
Since last Tuesday (incidence 102.3), the value has been above the critical mark of 100 without interruption and has risen daily. The highest incidence was in the district of Neukölln with now 211.3. Four new deaths related to the coronavirus were reported. The number of people who died thus rose to 3043. 132,801 people are considered to have recovered. The Berlin Corona traffic light continues to show red for incidence. In terms of the so-called R-value, it remains in the green zone at 1.23. The R-value indicates how many people an infected person infects on average. 17.8 percent of intensive care beds are occupied by Covid 19 patients, almost as many as the day before. The Berlin traffic light continues to show yellow here. The critical limit is defined at 25 percent in Berlin.
