Seven-day incidence of 96.2: 219 new corona cases

The seven-day incidence in Berlin is 96.2, just short of the 100 mark.

The incidence value means that in the past seven days, corona infection was detected in around 96 out of 100,000 people. With a value of 100, recently applied relaxations could soon be in question again - in the course of the emergency brake agreed by the federal and state governments.

One more death

With 219 newly reported cases, the number of infections in Berlin has risen to 138 437. 128 850 of those people are now considered recovered, the health administration said Sunday (March 21, 2021) in its daily situation report. One more person has died. Thus, the number of deaths rose to 2992.

Corona traffic light shows red once

The Berlin Corona traffic light is showing red for once, with a 26 percent increase in seven-day incidence and a 26 percent change in 7-day incidence within one week. 15 percent of intensive care beds in Berlin hospitals are currently occupied by Covid 19 patients. This means that this traffic light is on yellow, and the threshold for the highest warning level is 25 percent.

The situation is somewhat more relaxed with regard to the so-called R-value. The reproduction figure indicates how many other people on average are infected by an infected person. Here, the traffic light is green with a value of 1.11.
