The coronavirus continues to spread in Berlin. In the past seven days, 70.4 people per 100,000 inhabitants were infected with the virus, as the Senate Health Administration announced on Monday (08 March 2021).
While there were only 37.1 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in Pankow in the seven days until Monday, Neukölln was the first district to exceed the 100 mark again with 107.3. If this figure is reached citywide, the senate wants to cut back more on public life again. On Monday, the health offices reported 88 new infections and one more death related to the pandemic. That was 154 fewer than a week ago Monday. However, because of the International Women's Day holiday, comparability may be limited. The number of vaccinations with the first dose rose to 230 251, that with the second to 129 781.
