In Berlin, the number of new corona infections per 100,000 inhabitants continues to increase within one week. The so-called seven-day incidence is now 68.5 (previous day 66.3), according to the situation report of the Senate Department for Health of Tuesday (02 March 2021).
The Corona warning traffic light continues to show a clear red for this criterion. It would only jump to yellow at a value of 30, to green at 20. Within Berlin, the district of Neukölln (97.0) has the highest incidence. The lowest value is recorded in Pankow with 50.1.
482 new infections in Berlin
482 new infections were reported (previous day 242). This brings the number of Corona cases to 130 081 since the beginning of the pandemic. Of these, 121 899 people are considered to have recovered. A total of 2850 people died in connection with a corona virus infection, 25 more deaths than the previous day. The Berlin Corona traffic light shows yellow for the proportion of intensive care beds occupied by Covid 19 patients. It has risen slightly and is now at 17.6 percent (previous day 16.9 percent).
