Corona incidence rate in Berlin still above 60
In Berlin, the seven-day incidence of Corona infections continues to exceed 60. On 26 February 2021, the Senate Health Administration recorded 63.8 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within one week, again higher than the previous day (61.6).

After the value fell significantly for some time, the trend recently reversed again. The corresponding Corona traffic light thus remains red. It would only change to yellow at a value of 30, to green at 20. 497 new infections were counted in Berlin on Friday. The day before, 510 new cases had been registered. Since the beginning of the pandemic a year ago, 128,943 people have fallen ill, according to the situation report, of whom 120,638 are considered to have recovered. 2814 Berliners have already died in connection with a coronavirus infection, including nine new deaths reported on Friday.
The Berlin Corona traffic light is still yellow for the proportion of intensive care beds occupied by Covid 19 patients. However, the share has decreased and is currently 18.1 percent (previous day 18.4 percent). At 25 per cent, the traffic light would jump to red. The reproduction figure, on the other hand, is in the green zone: the so-called R-value, which indicates how many people an infected person infects on average, rose from 0.81 on Thursday to 0.92. In order to slow down the pandemic, the value would have to be significantly smaller than 1.
