In Berlin, the number of reported new infections with the coronavirus has decreased: On 20 February 2021, 252 cases were registered, according to the situation report of the health administration. On Friday, 372 new infections had been reported.
7 more people died in connection with the coronavirus. The number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic thus rose to 2727. The so-called seven-day incidence remained almost unchanged. According to the health administration, it now stands at 54.9. The value indicates how many people out of 100,000 have been infected within seven days.
The Corona traffic light remains red at this point. It would only change to yellow at a value of 30, to green at 20. According to the situation report, the lowest incidence is in the district of Steglitz-Zehlendorf (41). The highest value is in Neukölln with 70.9.
The Corona traffic light shows yellow for the proportion of intensive care beds occupied by Covid 19 patients: it is currently 21.6 percent. The threshold for a red traffic light is 25 percent. According to the report, 126,825 Corona infections have been registered in Berlin since the beginning of the pandemic.
