In Berlin, 484 new Corona infections have been counted within one more day - and 44 people died from or with the virus. This is according to the situation report of the health administration of Thursday (04 February 2021).
This was significantly fewer new infections than the day before, when 644 new cases had been registered. The number of infections per 100,000 inhabitants within one week has also fallen further. The so-called seven-day incidence was 76.5 on Thursday - after 80.6 on Wednesday and 84.9 on Tuesday. Nevertheless, the Corona traffic light is still red here. Only from a value of 30 would it jump to yellow, from a 7-day incidence of 20 to green. The highest value on Thursday was in the Mitte district (95.1), the lowest in Lichtenberg (56.8).
The occupancy of intensive care beds, on the other hand, rose slightly again: According to data from Thursday, the occupancy rate was 28 per cent, 0.8 percentage points higher than on Wednesday. This means that this Corona warning light also continues to have a red signal. At the beginning of January, however, the value was still 34 per cent. A total of 350 people were undergoing intensive medical treatment at the time of the current survey, eight more than the previous day. A total of 1228 people are being treated in Berlin hospitals for Covid-19.
