291 Corona infections on Saturday

In Berlin, another 29 people have been proven to have died in connection with a Corona infection.

This brought the number of deaths since the start of the pandemic to 2264, according to the new situation report issued by the Berlin health authority on Saturday (30 January 2021). According to the new figures, 291 known Corona infections have been added since Friday. 365 Covid 19 patients are being cared for in intensive care units, which corresponds to a 28.7 per cent utilisation of the beds there. From the critical mark of 25 percent, this traffic light shows red.

The 7-day incidence is 86.4. This value maps the cases per 100 000 inhabitants in the past 7 days. The threshold value for the Berlin Corona traffic light is 50 cases per 100 000 inhabitants. The traffic light has been on red for a long time for this criterion. The so-called R-value dropped to 0.86, which means it is still in the green zone. The value indicates how many people on average are infected by an infected person.
