In Berlin, 1800 people have died in connection with the Corona pandemic since it began. This is according to the situation report of the health administration on Friday.

Accordingly, the so-called 7-day incidence recorded a decline at a high level. The value is now 178.1. The highest value was in the district of Pankow (227.4), the lowest in Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg (124.0). The day before, there were 194.7 new cases of infection per 100,000 inhabitants in seven days. However, the Berlin Corona traffic light continues to show red.
The traffic light also remains red for the utilisation of intensive care beds at 32.5 per cent. The Berlin traffic light remained green for the so-called reproduction figure (R-value). At the beginning of the week it was still red. The R-value on Friday was 0.86. It describes how many people an infected person infects on average. To slow down the pandemic, the value must be significantly lower than 1.
