Almost 9100 people in Berlin have been vaccinated against the coronavirus so far. This is according to statistics released by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) on Thursday (December 31, 2020).
The majority of those vaccinated in the capital are residents of nursing homes: there, 6350 people were injected with the new preparation to protect against the disease Covid-19. 2733 people received the vaccination for occupational reasons, including medical staff with a very high risk of infection and staff caring for the elderly. 105 vaccinations had a medical reason.
The most vaccinations have been recorded so far in Bavaria (28,206), followed by 19,930 in North Rhine-Westphalia and 15,674 in Hesse. The fewest vaccinations in absolute numbers have been reported so far in Thuringia (810), Bremen (1691) and Hamburg (2040).
