Compared to the previous day, 17 more deaths are recorded in the situation report of Saturday (19 December 2020), bringing the total to 1001. The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) assumes an undetected number of further pandemic deaths nationwide, since the Corona infection is not recognized in every patient.

The number of new infections recorded within one day increased by 1325, to now 86 561 since the spring, according to the health administration report. As recovered 65 350 people are considered.
