Four people died with the coronavirus in Berlin on Sunday (6 December 2020). This brings the number of deaths to 683. 22 deaths were counted in the capital on Saturday in connection with Covid-19, according to the situation report of the Berlin Senate.
The number of people infected has now reached 71,443, an increase of 1675 over the weekend. 49,816 of these people are now considered to have recovered. Meanwhile, two of the three Berlin Corona traffic lights are back to red. By Saturday, the occupancy rate of intensive care beds in hospitals had already risen to more than a quarter. On Sunday it was 26.6 percent. The limit for the highest warning level is 25 percent. In the past week it has fluctuated around this value again and again.
At 182.9, the 7-day incidence is also well above the top warning level of 30, which means that in the past seven days, almost 183 out of 100,000 people have been detected infected. The situation regarding the so-called R-value has also worsened slightly. But the traffic light is still green. The reproduction rate indicates how many more people are infected by an infected person on average. Here the traffic light is green with a value of 1.05. At 1.1 it would jump to yellow.
