925 new Corona cases: traffic light shows red twice again
The Berlin traffic light rating system for evaluating the Corona situation is again red for two out of three indicators. In the occupancy rate of intensive care beds with Covid-19 patients, the warning value of 25 percent has again been exceeded, according to the situation report of the health administration of Monday (30 November 2020).
There is a red traffic light in front of the main building of the Charité.
Directive, general rules of conduct and more: Measures against the corona virus.
The traffic light for the number of cases per 100,000 inhabitants has remained red and well above the threshold value of 30 over the past seven days: with a value of 206.9. In Saturday's situation report, the traffic light briefly showed double red for these two indicators for the first time - but then the intensive care bed occupancy rate jumped back to yellow again.
The Senate had agreed on the need for action when introducing the warning system in the event of two red lights. On Monday, a Senate spokeswoman declared on request: "The Senate discusses the development of the infection in every session and has also acted and reacted early on. Last week, for example, we already extended the measures". The Senate would continue to act in this way and use the traffic light as a warning instrument for its decisions and discussions.

Further on, the corona traffic light is green with a reproduction figure of 0.8, which indicates the average number of people infected by an infected person. The aim is to achieve numbers well below 1 in order to slow down the pandemic. Health Senator Dilek Kalayci (SPD) already spoke on Monday of a subdued dynamic - but the numbers would have to fall even further to get the situation under control again. On Monday 925 new cases were reported (Monday of the previous week: 805), but the numbers are often lower at the beginning of the week.
