Within one day, the health administration in Berlin registered 1161 new corona infections. The number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days was thus 144.3, as the Senate Administration announced on October 28, 2020. The day before, the rate was 137.2.
Since the beginning of the pandemic in Berlin, 29 224 corona cases have been reported. 19 437 people are now considered to have recovered (374 more than the day before). 253 infected people died, two cases more than on Tuesday. The proportion of intensive care beds occupied by Covid-19 patients was reported at 11.6 percent. The day before, it was 9.8 percent.
Among the Berlin districts, Neukölln still has the highest number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the past seven days. The rate was 244.6, followed by Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg with 219, Mitte
with 217.5, Reinickendorf with 147.5 and Tempelhof-Schöneberg with 145.3.
