More than 1000 new corona infections in Berlin

In Berlin, the health administration has for the first time recorded more than 1000 new corona infections within one day. Compared to the previous day, 1040 more people were infected with the virus, according to a statement by the Senate Administration on October 27, 2020.

The number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days was 137.2, compared to 131.8 the day before. 28,063 corona cases have been reported since the beginning of the pandemic in Berlin. 19,063 people are now considered to have recovered (365 more than the day before). 251 infected persons died, the number did not change compared to Monday. The proportion of intensive care beds occupied by Covid-19 patients was reported at 9.8 percent. The day before it was 9.2 percent.
Among the Berlin districts, Neukölln still has the highest number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the past seven days. The value was 250.7, followed by Mitte with 215.2, Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg with 193.5 and Tempelhof-Schöneberg with 160.1.
