416 new corona cases: More patients in intensive care units

In Berlin, the number of new corona infections per 100,000 inhabitants has again risen slightly in the past seven days.

The incidence rate on Saturday (October 24, 2020) was 119.1 according to the Corona Senate's situation report, compared with 114.8 the day before. The number of confirmed new infections was 416 - compared to 893 on Friday and 783 on Thursday. Across Germany, the 7-day incidence value was 60.3.
So far, 25,789 corona cases have been reported in Berlin since the beginning of the pandemic. 18 075 people are now considered to have recovered (259 more than the day before). 249 people died, which is one more than on Friday. The number of patients cared for in intensive care units rose by 19 out of 120. 9 percent of intensive care beds occupied by Covid-19 patients were reported, compared to 11 percent on Friday and 7.3 percent on Thursday.
Among the Berlin districts, Neukölln still has the highest number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the past seven days. The figure was 228.8, followed by Mitte with 209.5, Tempelhof-Schöneberg with 164.1 and Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg with 151.9, followed by Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf with 107.4.
