The number of newly reported Corona cases in Berlin also increased significantly on Saturday. An additional 273 new infections were recorded, according to the corona management report of the health administration.
During the last two days there had been more than 400 new cases each. At the weekend, however, due to incomplete reports from the health authorities, lower numbers are often registered than on weekdays.
Per 100 000 inhabitants 58.2 corona cases were recorded in the past seven days. Berlin is thus increasingly clearly above the critical threshold of 50. If this value is exceeded, several other federal states declare districts or cities as risk areas. By far the highest seven-day incidence per 100,000 inhabitants within the capital continues to be reached by the district of Neukölln
with 130.3 - ahead of Mitte with 98.0. In total, six districts now achieve a so-called seven-day incidence of over 50. Steglitz-Zehlendorf is only just below this at 49.3.
