Corona status report: Berlin numbers continue to rise

According to official figures, the coronavirus continues to spread in Berlin.The health authorities reported 203 new infections on Saturday (October 03, 2020) after the record of 339 on Friday.

The average number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days is now 37.8, according to the health administration on Saturday. The day before, the value that is important for the analysis of the occurrence of infections was 34.5 - it has been rising continuously for some time.
In the country's corona warning system, one in three traffic lights has been on red for some time now due to the high number of new infections in the 7-day period. Green are the signals for the utilization of the intensive care beds and the reproduction value. This indicates the average number of people infected with corona.
Since the outbreak of the epidemic in spring, 15 573 people in the capital have fallen ill with Covid-19. 13 168 patients (+108) are considered to have recovered. 231 died in connection with the disease (+/-0).
