According to Senator Pop, this obligation must be observed in corridors, on paths between workstations or in elevators, but not when working at a desk. So far, masks have been mandatory in buses and trains or in stores. The new regulations will apply from this Saturday, October 03, 2020.
Müller demanded a more consistent implementation of corona rules. In recent months, he told the German Press Agency that more than 1000 police officers have regularly been deployed to enforce the obligation to wear masks, the requirement to keep a safe distance form other persons or to find out possible contacts of infected persons. But: "We have the problem that only 5 percent of the imposed fines have been enforced by the public order offices so far".
