72 new Corona cases in Berlin: traffic lights still green

The number of registered corona infections in Berlin increased by 72 cases on Wednesday (September 09, 2020) compared to the previous day. In the capital, 11,950 people infected with the Sars-CoV-2 virus were registered, according to the Senate Department of Health.

As in the meantime 10 931 humans are considered to have recovered. According to the data, 226 Berliners have died in connection with Covid 19 disease since the pandemic outbreak. This number has not changed for more than two weeks. All three indicators of the Corona traffic light decided by the senate point to green. The R-value, which indicates how many people an infected person infects on average, is below the critical threshold. The number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants and week and the utilization of intensive care beds with Covid-19 patients are also in the green range.
