Berlin: 87 new coronvirus cases

The number of registered corona infections in Berlin increased by 87 cases on Tuesday (September 8, 2020) compared to the previous day. In the capital, 11,878 people infected with the Sars-CoV-2 virus were registered, according to the Senate Department of Health.

As in the meantime 10 833 humans are considered to have recovered. Due to the pandemic, 46 people are in hospital, including 16 in intensive care. According to the data, 226 Berliners have died in connection with Covid 19 disease since the outbreak of the pandemic. This number has not changed for more than two weeks. All three indicators of the Corona traffic lights approved by the Berlin Senate point to green. The R-value, which indicates how many people an infected person infects on average, is 1.02 and thus below the critical threshold of 1.1. The number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants and week and the utilization of intensive care beds with Covid-19 patients are also in the green range.
