81 further Corona cases registered in Berlin

The number of registered corona infections in Berlin increased on Tuesday (September 2, 2020) by 81 compared to the previous day. This means that 11,346 people in the capital have been proven to be infected with the Covid 19 virus since the spring, as the Senate Department of Health announced in its latest situation report.

10 387 people are considered to have recovered in the meantime. According to the information provided, 32 people are currently being treated in hospital, 12 of them in intensive care. According to the data, a total of 226 Berliners have died in connection with Covid 19 disease since the outbreak of the pandemic. This number has again not changed.

Berlin Corona traffic light shows yellow

For two of the three indicators of the Corona traffic light decided by the senate it points currently on green, with the R-value for the reproduction number on yellow. It indicates how many people an infected person infects on average under the current conditions. The four-day R-value is currently at 1.14 and thus above the critical threshold of 1.1. The number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants per week and the utilization of intensive care beds with Covid-19 patients is in the green range.
