The regulation is to apply to pupils, teachers and other employees in school buildings in a little over a week's time after the end of the holidays, according to education senator Sandra Scheeres (SPD) on Thursday (30 July 2020). Among other things, the mouth and nose protectors must be worn in corridors, common rooms or toilets. However, nobody has to wear a mask during lessons. It has not yet been formally decided to make masks compulsory in Berlin schools. This is to be implemented on August 04, 2020.
