Coronavirus: 3223 confirmed cases and 20 deaths
In Berlin, 20 people have so far died with a confirmed coronavirus infection.
The number of people who tested positive for Sars-CoV-2 rose by 230 to a total of 3223 cases by Thursday (02 April 2020, as of 16:15), according to the Senate Health Administration. Of the 20 deaths, 12 patients were over 80 years old, the administration further announced. Five other patients were thus over 60, the other three between 40 and 60 years old.
According to statistics, 458 patients suffering from Covid-19 were treated in the hospital on Thursday, slightly fewer than the day before (479). In contrast, the number of patients in the intensive care unit increased by twelve cases to 116. The district of Mitte was still the most affected with 497 cases, followed by Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf with 407 infected patients. 1564 people are now considered to have recovered.
