2152 Corona cases in Berlin: 215 more than the day before

The number of proven coronavirus infections in Berlin rose to 2152 on Friday. Since Thursday, 215 new cases were added, according to the latest statistics from the Senate Health Administration.

It remained at eight deaths after a corona diagnosis. 645 patients have since recovered. A total of 261 Covid-19 patients were treated in hospital, 53 of them in an intensive care unit. 1156 of those infected were male, 991 female. In five cases the sex was not transmitted.
The numbers of infections with Sars-CoV-2 increased in all districts and almost all age groups, but at different rates. Most of the infected - a good quarter - are in the 30-39 age group with 572 (49 more than the day before). In the district statistics, Mitte is further ahead with 331 infected persons (20 more than the day before). The fewest cases are still in Marzahn-Hellersdorf (68, 10 more than the day before). The contact persons of infected persons are still being identified, contacted and isolated, it was said.
