The Berlin health administration has banned events for 1000 people or more until the end of the Easter holidays. The reason is the spread of the coronavirus, health senator Dilek Kalayci (SPD) announced on March 11, 2020.

Senator Kalayci: "The coronavirus continues to spread. At a time like this, public life must be restricted. By reducing the number of major events, the spread of the coronavirus can be slowed. Especially at the beginning of an epidemic, such restrictions are important. For this reason, the health administration is temporarily banning major events and meetings with 1000 or more people until the end of the Easter holidays. The protection of Berliners has the highest priority."
