Corona-Checks: Travellers should go to BER early

Passengers should be at Berlin-Brandenburg Airport at least two hours before departure during the autumn holidays. This has been pointed out by the airport management.

Despite a significant increase in passenger numbers, only half as many travellers (900 000) are expected as was usual during the autumn holidays before Corona. However, some processes will take significantly longer due to Corona-related screening requirements and spacing and hygiene rules, according to reports. Baggage claim after arrival could also take longer.
It will be particularly busy at BER on holiday weekends, especially on Fridays and Sundays, with 60,000 to 65,000 passengers a day. With 137 destinations in 49 countries, the offer reaches about 80 percent of the pre-Corona level. Mediterranean destinations such as Majorca, Antalya and Heraklion are particularly well represented.
