Lollapalooza Festival in Berlin cancelled again

The Lollapalooza music festival in Berlin has been cancelled for the second year in a row due to corona. A spokeswoman for the festival confirmed the corresponding information on its homepage to the Deutsche Presse-Agentur on 01 July 2021.

Everything was tried until the last moment to celebrate an unforgettable festival in the heart of Berlin, they said. However, due to the pandemic situation, it had become increasingly clear that a spectacular festival weekend would not be possible this year. At the most recent Lollapalooza edition two years ago, some 85,000 tickets had been sold for the two days at the Berlin Olympic Stadium. "We will return in 2022 stronger and louder than ever before," the organisers announced.
