Restaurants will be allowed to open their indoor areas

Restaurants in Berlin will be allowed to open their indoor areas to guests again from Friday. This was announced by Economics Senator Ramona Pop (Greens) on 01 June 2021 after a Senate meeting.

A testing obligation applies. Outside, however, the testing obligation will be waived from 04 June 2021, as well as in the retail sector. "These are big steps we are taking here," Pop said. "We hope that caution will continue." Accordingly, the Senate also decided to allow outdoor events with up to 500 participants outside. Inside, there are to be 100. With technical ventilation of the rooms, 500 should also be possible.
