National Day of Mourning 2020 dedicated to German-British friendship

Charles and Camilla take part in the wreath-laying ceremony at the Neue Wache in Mitte and then in the commemoration hour in the Bundestag. Charles will also give a speech at the commemoration ceremony. This year's national day of mourning is dedicated to the German-British friendship, the Embassy said.

For the first time members of the British royal family present at a memorial service

According to the embassy, this is the first time that a member of the British royal family has taken part in the central commemoration of the annual National Day of Mourning in Germany. Charles and Camilla last visited Germany in May 2019. Since 1962, Charles has been to Germany more than thirty times, both officially and privately.
