On Friday (September 18, 2020), the trade union Verdi called 1400 employees to go on a warning strike. They are also to stop working on Saturday. Verdi wants to increase the pressure in the ongoing nationwide collective bargaining. The union is demanding 5.5 percent more money for the approximately 140,000 employees. Only last Friday there had been a warning strike in the region.
Many people might wait therefore on Friday and Saturday again in vain for letters and packages - after Verdi data in Berlin in the Prenzlauer Berg, Friedrichshain, Charlottenburg, Steglitz and Reinickendorf, in addition in Brandenburg among other things in Eberswalde, Falkensee, Rathenow, Hoppegarten and Frankfurt (Oder). Also affected is the parcel delivery in Berlin in Tempelhof, Britz, Reinickendorf and Spandau, as well as in Großbeeren in Brandenburg.
