Four more public pools open in Berlin

This Saturday (06 June 2020) four more open-air swimming pools will open in Berlin. From now on, you can swim again in the Sommerbad am Insulaner, the Kombibad Mariendorf (Ankogelweg), the Sommerbad Mariendorf (Rixdorfer Straße) and the Sommerbad Humboldthain, as the Berliner Bäder-Betriebe (BBB) announced on Friday.

Due to the measures taken against the Corona pandemic, the open-air swimming pools are not open all day. Instead, visitors must register in advance for certain time slots. In between, the pools will be closed and the facilities partially disinfected. Many showers and changing rooms as well as playgrounds, slides and diving boards are not open. Due to the limited number of visitors, many possible bathing dates were quickly booked out recently.
According to their own information, the BBB has opened a total of eleven open-air swimming pools since 25 May 2020. In addition, there are seven BBB lidos, which are operated by tenants. For these, different access modalities apply than for the open-air pools.
