The sun is shining on Sanssouci Castle.

After the forced break due to the measures to contain the corona virus, the first locks had already reopened to visitors on 12 May 2020. Now the next castles will follow. From 9 June 2020 the Schloss Sanssouci and from 10 June 2020 the New Palace in Sanssouci Park can be visited again. In addition, the palace and carriage house in Paretz and the Schloss Königs Wusterhausen will open their doors. In Berlin, the Old Palace of Charlottenburg Palace and the New Pavilion in Charlottenburg Palace Gardens as well as the hunting magazine of Grunewald Hunting Lodge will be welcoming guests again. A visit to Pfaueninsel will be possible again from 27 June 2020.
This means that a total of 21 museum castles are once again open to visitors. All other buildings, such as Schloss Charlottenhof, the Roman Baths or the Marble Palace in Potsdam, will remain closed in 2020. The reason for this is the spatial situation, due to which the hygiene and clearance regulations required by the SARS-CoV-2 containment regulation cannot be adequately implemented.
