Small businesses can now apply for Corona aid
From today (Friday, 27 March 2020), small businesses in Berlin can apply for federal and state aid against the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic.
The Investitionsbank Berlin in Berlin.
Investitionsbank Berlin will activate the form on its website at 12.00 noon. Solo self-employed persons, freelancers and micro-entrepreneurs with a maximum of five employees can receive 5,000 euros in immediate aid from the state and up to 9,000 euros from the federal government. Companies with up to 10 employees can receive up to 15,000 euros from federal funds.
Only the running costs should be covered
High demand for interest-free bridging loans
IBB also offers interest-free bridging loans of up to EUR 500 000 with a term of two years, the Liquiditätshilfen Berlin. The demand for this is great, the bank said. Entrepreneurs were also asked to submit applications early in the morning or late in the evening in order not to overload the customer portal.
KfW also provides loans
Entrepreneurs can also obtain loans from the federal development bank, the KfW. These are applied for through the house banks. Information on all programs is also available by telephone from the IBB, the Berlin Partner development agency and the Berlin Tourism and Convention Society (Visit Berlin).
