8 September 2019, Berlin: Visitors sit in a circle and take pictures of themselves with their smartphones during the Lollapalooza Festival in the Olympiapark.

The date for the Berlin edition of the Lollapalooza Festival has been set for the weekend 5/6 September 2020. "We're looking forward to seeing you," the organisers said. The Lollapalooza has been taking place in Germany since 2015 and for the sixth time. For this year's edition at the beginning of September, the festival had sold 85,000 two-day tickets.
On stage were the US superstar Billie Eilish, the rappers Marteria & Casper and the band Scooter. In 2018 there were 70,000 visitors. Due to complaints from residents last year, the organizers had to turn down the volume and offer some residents in the area to stay elsewhere for the duration of the festival. According to police, several complaints of disturbance of the peace were received this year as well.
