29.03.2019, Berlin: Swedish student Greta Thunberg speaks at the climate demonstration "Fridays for Future" during the closing rally at Brandenburg Gate.

Afterwards (11.30 a.m.) the activists will continue to Luckenwalde in Brandenburg to support the protesters there. Thunberg was already on a visit to the capital at the end of March. "The older generations did not manage to master the greatest crisis of mankind", Thunberg said in a short speech in English. For months now, schoolchildren and students around the world have been demonstrating on Fridays to draw attention to climate change. The movement goes back to a protest campaign by Thunberg.
