Clärchens Ballroom to be renovated

The well-known Berlin dance club "Clärchens Ballhaus" is to be given a new coat of paint. Because of the planned renovation, the lease will not be continued at the end of the year, as the operator Christian Schulz announced on 11 July 2019.

The more than 105 year old ballroom "Clärchens Ballhaus" is an institution in the capital. It is known above all for its 20s charm. The restaurant was family-owned for nine decades. It has been run by the theatre people Christian Schulz and David Regehr since 2004.
The property in Auguststraße in the Mitte district has a new owner. "Only in the next few months will it become clear when and to what extent renovations can be carried out," said the current tenants. "We have fullest confidence in the new owner and are pleased that Clärchens Ballhaus soon shines in new splendour.
