On 01 April 2019, the new season for boat and river cruises launched in Berlin and Brandenburg.
Discovering Berlin from the water is always a great experience. Berlin has two big rivers, the Spree and the Havel, which flow through the city in arches. There are also canals and watercourses that flow into the city. From April to October the waterways are navigated by numerous excursion boats. Not only tourists love the relaxed way to discover the capital. Berliners also like to secure a spot on the sun decks and let their city pass by.
Boat tours from the city centre to the countryside
From short sightseeing trips to day trips, the shipping companies offer various routes, starting points and destinations. There's plenty to see: On boat tours through the city centre, guests pass important sights such as the historic centre, the government quarter and museum island. Trips following Berlin's numerous bridges, of which the capital has more than Venice, are also popular. Guests experience a little more peace and quiet and greenery on steamboat trips to the surrounding area, e.g. on the picturesque Havel to Potsdam.
