Women's Day: Changes to public transport timetables
The new holiday this Friday in Berlin also has an impact on the bus and train timetables.
S-Bahn and BVG operate on International Women's Day largely according to Saturday timetables, as the Berlin-Brandenburg Transport Association (VBB) announced on 5 March 2019. The S-Bahn, however, is mainly run on the outskirts of the city. In addition, some tram lines run according to Sunday timetables or are cancelled.
Some bus connections may be cancelled
According to the VBB, many buses run as usual according to the Friday timetable, occasionally lines are cancelled or only operate to a limited extent. The bus lines from Brandenburg to Berlin - with the exception of BVG lines - and the regional rail services will also operate largely according to the Friday timetable. During the night to Friday, all S-Bahn and U-Bahn trains will run continuously, as on weekends. All travel times can be found on the homepage or via the VBB app.
