An online survey aims to reveal the experiences of violence among teenagers and young adults in Berlin.

It is scheduled to start on January 5, 2026, and be completed on January 30, according to the Berlin State Commission Against Violence, which commissioned the so-called dark field study.

Making measures more tailored and effective

According to the information provided, the aim is to gain a more accurate picture of how young people in Berlin fare in everyday life, for example at school and in their free time, what forms of violence they experience or observe, and what needs to change to make them feel safer. The results of the study will be scientifically evaluated by IMAP GmbH in Düsseldorf and incorporated into the further development of violence prevention in Berlin. The data will help to make appropriate measures more tailored and effective.

Participation is anonymous

According to the information provided, it takes around 15 minutes to complete the questionnaire (in German). Participation is voluntary and anonymous. Parents, teachers, educators, and other individuals should not be able to identify who responded to which questions. The responses will be summarized in such a way that individual respondents cannot be identified.
