Every year on June 21, Berliners celebrate the beginning of summer with an open-air music festival. At the Fête de la Musique, musicians and bands play live music in the streets of Berlin for free. more
The Stadtmuseum Berlin is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a big museum festival in the Nikolaiviertel. Visitors can expect a varied program with live music, hands-on activities and special guided tours. As part of the Fête de la Musique, which traditionally always takes place on June 21, King Josephine, the Komische Oper's opera dolmuş and the Calango All Styles OrkeStar will be performing on two stages. Admission to the Nikolaikirche, Ephraim-Palais and Knoblauchhaus museums is also free on this day.
