Sommerkurs: English with Drama?!

Amy Nye

Do you like theatre? Do you like speaking? This course provides both! You will be taken through a series of drama activities providing you with the chance to expand on your oral skills in a theatrical context. We will play improv games, give presentations, build confidence through vocal work, save the world in sixty seconds and more.
There is the opportunity to work on our own vocal range through pronunciation, articulation and volume exercises.
We will also read the Pulitzer-Prize-winning play “Disgraced” by Ayad Akhtar, analyse its scenes and characters and conclude with a performance of it (inside the classroom).
No previous acting experience is required, only a willingness to participate and communicate.

Amy Nye, born 1979 in New Zealand is a professional theatre practitioner and foreign language teacher. She trained and worked as an actress in NZ before travelling to Asia and Madrid, where she worked with the comedy troupe ‘Face2Face Theatre’.
