How to get there

The "Großer Tiergarten" park can easily be reached by public transportation. It is connected to the local "S-Bahn" and "U-Bahn" railways as well as to the regional and long-distance railway systems by the stations "Zoologischer Garten", "Tiergarten", "Hansaplatz", "Bellevue", "Hauptbahnhof", "Reichstag", "Brandenburger Tor" and "Potsdamer Platz".

In addition to the rail routes, the bus lines 100 and 200 run along the central and southern areas of the park, including the stops "Großer Stern", "Haus der Kulturen der Welt", "Philharmonie" and "Tiergartenstraße".

Perfect for a bike tour

Because of its central urban location, the "Großer Tiergarten" park can easily be reached by bicycle. Along the roads within and at the edges of the park there are spacious biking trails that are also well linked to the adjoining cycle paths of Berlin. In addition, it is allowed to ride carefully on the paths within the park, always keeping in mind that pedestrians have absolute priority!

By car, the park can easily be reached by the main traffic roads that lie near to it and crisscross the park area. Parking in the neighbouring streets is possible to a limited extent and usually a parking fee must be paid.
