The services include the assumption of costs for lunch in school and a day care centre, school supplies and the assumption of costs for the route to school and to a recreation location. The children and young people can take part in a sports club, a music school or in cultural activities and go on excursions and school or day care centre trips. If students need support outside of school to achieve their learning goal, they will also benefit from the educational package.

Lunch in a day care centre, child day care or school
Amount of benefit: the costs for lunch at school, day care centre or child day care are covered in full.
Grant: presentation of the BuT berlinpass at the day care centre (for day care children) or at the youth welfare office (for children in child day care) or at the caterer or school.
Please note: since 1 August 2019 every primary school child in Berlin (grades 1 to 6) is entitled to free school lunches. This benefit is provided by the State of Berlin. Since these students do not incur any costs, there is no longer any need for this as part of the services for education and participation.
