The Climate Alliance was founded in 1990 and, along with cities and municipalities, also includes NGOs as members. Its executive board is made up of representatives from cities, municipalities, and the umbrella organization (COICA) of the indigenous organizations in the Amazon River basin. Berlin is especially involved in the Alliance’s CITY CYCLING campaign.
