A massive silver globe set back from the busy Prenzlauer Allee, the Zeiss Planetarium was built in 1987 in East Berlin. At the time, it was one of Europe’s largest and most modern stellar theaters. The silver dome at its heart measures 23 meters and is host to astronomical, film, and music programs.
The planetarium’s “Wonders of the Cosmos” astronomical projection show can be booked in advance in English and Russian. The Zeiss Planetarium is open later on Friday and Saturday evenings for special events.
