The Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe bus garage designed and built in 1927 by Franz Ahrens now houses the Arena, a venue for concerts, fashion shows, parties, and other events. The “Badeschiff,” a floating swimming pool designed by Susanne Lorenz and AMP Arquitectos, has been moored in front of the Arena since 2004. A design by Gil Wilk and Thomas Freiwald gave it saunas and a roof in 2005.
