The Berlin Air Show will present a wide-ranging review of advanced aviation and space technology on the ground and in the air. Increasing specialisation in the aerospace field has led to a growing emphasis on a number of specific areas of business, a development to which the ILA has responded by creating various segments designed to reflect the present market situation. These include Commercial Aviation, Space Flight, Defence and Security, Equipment, Aero Engines and Materials, as well as General Aviation. With some 100 accompanying conferences the ILA 2012 will be augmenting its already dominant position as the leading international trade show and conference event for the aerospace sector. During the first three days admission to the ILA will be restricted to trade visitors only.
Established in 1909, the ILA is regarded as the world’s oldest aviation trade show. Organised by BDLI, with Messe Berlin as the executive company, the ILA has been taking place every two years at its present site in Berlin/Brandenburg since 1992, covering all aspects of aviation and space flight in the form of an international trade show with conferences and plenty to interest the general public too. The ILA is also the only European aerospace show that is equally accessible from Western, Central and Eastern Europe.
